Want to showcase YouTube videos on your website? Our YouTube Gallery widget makes it easy!

Check out this video for a quick guide on adding YouTube content to the Elfsight widget:

You can display an entire YouTube channel with all its videos, or opt to show a specific playlist, individual videos, or Shorts by using Source Groups. Let’s dive into the details!

In this article

Add a YouTube Channel

To show all the videos from your YouTube channel as they appear on the platform—header, subscriber count, and more—just follow these steps:

1

Find your YouTube channel URL and copy it. There are a few ways to get it:

  • From the address bar:
  • We recommend using the desktop link with the full URL (youtube.com). Short mobile links like youtu.be are not supported.
  • Use the Share channel option. Click More in the Channel description → Share channel → select it again in the dropdown, and copy the link:
2

Paste your YouTube channel URL into the corresponding field in the Source tab:

That's it! Your YouTube videos are now displayed in the widget! ✨

Set Up Source Groups

If you'd like more control over which content is displayed in the widget, use the Source Groups setting. This feature offers greater flexibility in managing your content.

Here’s what you can display using Source Groups:

Note: Content added to the Source Groups will override the videos you initially added via the YouTube channel URL.

Display Multiple YouTube Channels

If you'd like to show videos from different channels, follow these steps:

1

In the Source tab, click the Source Groups button:

2

Click ➕ Add Source Group and give it a name (e.g., 'First Channel'):

Then, click ➕ Add URL, paste the channel's link, and click Done:

3

Click ➕ Add Source Group again, name it (e.g., 'Second Channel'), and add the new channel's source.

You’ll now see two tabs, each displaying videos from a different YouTube channel:

Add a YouTube Playlist

Want to showcase a specific playlist in your widget? It’s super easy!

Just copy the playlist URL from your browser, name the source, and paste the link into the source group:

The video order in the widget will match YouTube’s order. To change it, you'll need to update it on YouTube. For more details, check out our guide: Changing Video Order in YouTube Gallery Widget.

For step-by-step instructions on adding a playlist, see this article: Displaying YouTube Playlist in YouTube Gallery Widget.

Show a Single Video

Want to display just one YouTube video? Simply add the video URL to the source group, and you’re all set!

For detailed instructions, check out this guide: Displaying Single YouTube Video in YouTube Gallery Widget.

Display YouTube Shorts

YouTube Shorts are automatically included when you add a YouTube channel. But what if you want to display Shorts only?

You can showcase Shorts from a playlist, display only Shorts from your channel using a special link, or even display a single Shorts video:

To find out more, see this guide: How to Display Only Shorts in YouTube Gallery Widget.

If you'd like to exclude Shorts, it’s also possible! Refer to this article for detailed instructions: How to Exclude Shorts from YouTube Gallery Widget.

Well done — your YouTube Gallery widget is up and running with the content you need! 🎉 To make it even better, you can move on to the next step and customize your widget’s design to match your website’s style and tone.
