There are two simple ways to showcase YouTube Shorts separately from your regular videos in the YouTube Gallery widget, and we’ll walk you through both in this article. Whether you prefer using a playlist or creating a custom link, we’ve got you covered!

Shorts display options

Shorts from a Playlist

This is the easiest method to display only YouTube Shorts in your widget.

1

Simply create a playlist for your Shorts on YouTube and get its link.

To learn how to get the correct playlist link, check out this guide: Adding correct YouTube playlist link.
2

Go to the Source tab → click Source Group:

Click Add Source Group:

Click Add URL and paste the playlist link:

That's it! ✨

Shorts from a Channel

If you don't want to create a separate playlist for Shorts, you can make a custom link to display all Shorts from a channel. Here's how:

1

Get the YouTube channel ID. Open the channel → click ...more in the channel description:

Click Share channelCopy channel ID:

For example, the channel ID for Elfsight Affiliates is UCGxFUjhwTm3KnLn1YKP6oHg.

2

Replace UC in the channel ID with UUSH. For example:

  • Original channel ID:

    UCGxFUjhwTm3KnLn1YKP6oHg

  • Converted channel ID:

    UUSHGxFUjhwTm3KnLn1YKP6oHg

3

Copy the new UUSH-channel ID. Add it to the end of this URL template: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=. For example:

  • Blank URL template:

    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=

  • Completed URL template:

    https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=UUSHGxFUjhwTm3KnLn1YKP6oHg

4

Go to the Source tab → leave the YouTube Channel URL field empty and click Source Group:

Click Add Source Group:

Click Add URL and paste the URL you created:

All done! 👏

Single Shorts Video

This method lets you display individual Shorts videos from the channel without adding them to a playlist.

1

Get the Shorts video ID from the Share URL. Open the video → click Share and copy the part between shorts/ and ?feature:

For example, the Shorts ID for https://youtube.com/shorts/8PGH7_aZ0GM?feature=share is 8PGH7_aZ0GM.

2

Copy the Shorts ID and add it to the end of this URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=. For example:

  • Blank URL template:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

  • Completed URL:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PGH7_aZ0GM

3

Go to the Source tab → click Source Group:

Click Add Source Group:

Click Add URL and paste the URL you created:

Add as many URLs as needed.

And that's it! 😊
