Why my YouTube source doesn't work

When adding your source to the YouTube Gallery widget, you might encounter an issue where only a few videos appear, or none at all. You might also see an error message that says, 'There are no videos in this group':

The guide below provides step-by-step instructions to help you correctly set up your sources.

Adding Correct YouTube Playlist Link

If the correct playlist link is not used, your videos may not appear in the widget. Make sure you use the full and accurate link to display all your videos.

Open the channel on YouTube, navigate to the Playlists tab, and click View Full Playlist:

Click Share:

Adding Correct Specific Video URL

The YouTube Gallery widget supports only full URLs and cannot recognize shortened links (e.g., youtu.be). To ensure your video is displayed, always copy and paste the full URL directly from the address bar on YouTube. Here's an example of the correct type of link to use:

Updating Privacy Settings

YouTube allows users to set privacy settings for both playlists and individual videos. The YouTube Gallery widget only supports public content. If your videos are set to Unlisted or Private, they won’t be displayed. Ensure your videos and playlists are set to Public by following the steps below.

Steps to set a video to public

Sign in to YouTube Studio and select Content from the left menu:

In the Videos tab, find the video you want to update and click the current access type in the Visibility column:

Change the access type to Public and Publish the changes:

Steps to set a playlist to public

Sign in to YouTube Studio and select Playlists from the left menu:

Find the playlist you want to update, click Details, and open the Playlist privacy menu:

Change the access type to Public and click Save:

That’s it! Once set to Public, your videos should appear in the widget within 24 hours.
