Step 2: Adjust Layout & Style of Your Instagram Feed

Our Instagram Feed widget lets you adjust how posts are arranged and styled to match your website. This article explains how to customize your widget using the Layout and Theme tabs.

If your Instagram Feed widget was created before August 26, 2026, the Layout, Post Style, and Theme settings may look different in the widget editor.

Choosing Your Feed Layout

On the Layout tab, you can choose one of four ways to display your feed — Thumbnail Carousel, Showcase Carousel, Grid, or Masonry:

You can also enable or disable the widget Header and choose its style:

The available styles depend on the source type added to your widget. For example, Account sources offer profile-based headers, while others may offer text-based options.

The Post Style section lets you choose how post thumbnails appear in your feed:

Customizing Your Widget’s Style

On the Theme tab, select a theme and choose an accent color to match your website’s design:

Available theme options may vary depending on the Post Style you choose.

For more control, click Customize Theme to configure specific parts of the widget:

  1. Background — Choose a background color, gradient, image, or video.
  2. Header — Adjust text and button colors, button corner radius, and more.
  3. Post — Customize the available background, hover, text, and link colors.
  4. Popup — Adjust the popup background, backdrop, text and link colors, and corner radius.
  5. Recently Liked Popover — Choose the colors of the notification that displays recent likes.
  6. Load More Button or Navigation Arrows — Customize the navigation control available for your selected layout, including its colors, size, and other styling options.
  7. Font — Choose the widget font from the dropdown menu.
The sections and settings available under Customize Theme vary depending on your selected Layout, Header, and Post Style.
