Why Instagram Feed is not going responsive on mobiles
Ensuring that your website is mobile-friendly is essential, considering the significant number of people who access websites through their mobile devices. That is why it is so important to have your Instagram Feed look just as good on mobile as it is on desktop. Luckily, the Mobile Optimization setting allows you to tailor the feed dimensions for different screen sizes.
You can set the dimensions for as many size devices as you need, there is no limit. Use the Columns and Rows section on the Layout tab to easily set the responsive sizes, ensuring an optimal viewing experience across smartphones, tablets, and other small-screen devices:
Here you can choose between the Auto and Manual columns mode:
If the Auto Mode is chosen, the number of columns will be determined automatically depending on the width of the parent container the widget was put into.
If you would like to adjust the number of columns and rows on the mobile manually, switch to the Manual Mode. Once you select this mode, you will see the Mobile Optimization section:
Press on a predefined mobile setting to edit it, or click Add Breakpoint to set up your own one. You’ll be redirected to a screen where you can set the parameters of your mobile feed:
The responsive breakpoints option is very flexible, so you can set several breakpoints for any screen size. However, here are our recommendations for optimal kinds of breakpoints:
- 1024 (for tablets with landscape orientation) - works best with 3 or 4 columns
- 768 (for tablets with portrait orientation) - works best with 2 or 3 columns
- 480 (for mobile phones) - for 1 or 2 columns
