Why You Might Need to Reconnect
Your Facebook Chat widget may require reconnection if its session token expires. This can occur due to:
- Significant changes to your Facebook account, such as updating your password or username.
- Facebook resetting the token automatically due to internal updates.
In either case, you’ll just need to reconnect your widget to get a new token.
How to Reconnect Your Widget
Follow these quick steps to reconnect your Facebook Chat widget:

Log in to your Facebook account and Remove Elfsight permissions on the Business Integrations page:

- Log out of your Facebook account — and don’t log back in yet (this step is important).

Open the widget's settings, click Connect to Facebook, and proceed with authorization:

After entering your Facebook login details, a popup window will appear. Click Edit Access and turn on all toggles in the Edit Requested Access window:

Click Continue as:

Choose the necessary page from the dropdown and Publish the changes:
