Collecting Form Submissions in Google Sheets via Zapier

Our Form widgets come with built-in integration to Google Sheets, allowing you to easily collect and manage your form submissions. However, there are certain situations where using Zapier integration might be a better fit. For example:

  • Collect data from multiple forms into a single Google Sheet
  • Connect an existing Google Sheet instead of creating a new one every time
  • Reconnect your Form widget to an old Google Sheet after a disconnect
  • Combine submissions from several forms in one spreadsheet

Can I connect 2 or more forms to the same spreadsheet?

Yes, you can connect as many forms to the same sheet as you want. Please note that you need to connect each widget by its own unique token. To do that, just repeat the same steps as in the video.

Will it be an issue if some of my forms have different fields? Should they all be exactly the same in each form?

No, it won’t be an issue. The key here is in mapping, as demonstrated in the video. Zapier simply needs to know where to place the data from each form submission. If your forms have different fields, you can create additional columns in Google Sheets for the specific form fields and set up the mapping accordingly. This way, Zapier will know exactly where to put the data, even if the forms have different structures/fields.

How can I reconnect my Forms widget to an existing Google Sheet after a disconnect?

After the widget is disconnected, there's a token interruption. Go to your widget which was disconnected and repeat the steps from the video. When you're at Zapier, choose "Connect a new account" at the first step of Zap creation to establish a connection.

Is it possible to customize how my form data appears in Google Sheets?

Yes, you can apply styles to data in the spreadsheet. For example, you might make the rating and consent in the following format, and Zapier will recognize that. The data will be formatted to your needs automatically in newly added rows.

Is Zapier a free service?

I changed/added a new field to my Elfsight Form and it doesn't appear in Zapier.

If you don't see the updated/new field of your form, try to "Retest the trigger" in Zapier. If it doesn't help, you need to reconnect the widget. Go to your widget, at Integrations tab → Zapier → hit Disconnect. After that, repeat the process of connecting the widget as shown in the video.

Will my form submissions sync immediately with Google Sheets through Zapier?

It takes about 5-10 seconds for data to appear in the spreadsheet after someone fills the form.

Can I apply any conditional logic to the data received? How can I set up a more complex integration?
