Available triggers and their specifics
A trigger is an action or event that causes the Popup widget to appear on your webpage. Our Popup widget offers 6 triggers:
You can find these triggers on the Settings tab in your widget's editor:
Now let's dive into each trigger in detail to better understand how to use them.
On Page Load
This trigger opens the popup as soon as your website page finishes loading.
Time on Page
The Time on Page trigger opens the popup after a user spends a specific amount of time on the page. You have the option to set your own duration in seconds.
On Scroll
The trigger opens a popup after a user has scrolled a specific percentage of the page. This percentage can also be adjusted according to your specific needs.
On Scroll to Element
The trigger activates a popup once a user has scrolled past a specific element on your page. Check out this step-by-step guide to set it up.
On Click
This trigger activates a popup when a user clicks on a specific element on your page. For detailed instructions on setting up this trigger, please visit this article.
On Exit Intent
This trigger activates a popup when the user moves the cursor to close the tab.
Using multiple triggers at once
If you enable multiple triggers simultaneously, the one that activates first will take effect.
For example, we have set the Time on Page trigger for 300 seconds (5 minutes) and the On Scroll trigger for 80%:
In this case, the popup will appear based on which condition is met first. If visitors scroll quickly, the widget will be activated by the On Scroll trigger. If they don't scroll the page, the popup will appear after 5 minutes.
Feel free to experiment with different triggers to find what works best for your audience! š
