Why my Background Music widget doesn't play on Apple device

You may notice that the Background Music widget doesn't play automatically on your Apple devices such as iPhone or Macbook. The reason for this behavior is technical restrictions on the Apple side.

On the latest macOS versions and ones commencing from iOS 14, Apple has implemented some changes to their autoplay terms and policies. This way, currently, audio autoplay is blocked there and nothing from the outside can impact it.

We recommend you enable play and volume controls in the widget's settings so that your website visitors can manually play music in a widget. In case you add music by video URL, you need to turn on the play control in order to let your users interact with the widget. Meanwhile, with audio files, the simple touch to volume control is enough for autoplay triggering.
