Providing access to your Blogger website

Sometimes Elfsight Support Team might request temporary access to your Blogger website's admin panel. This article explains the reasons why and the way of sharing access.

Why we might need access

Here are the basic reasons:

  • To help you install your widget
  • To fix compatibility issues
  • To customize your widget

Sharing access

To give us access, you need to add a new temporary user. To do that, please follow the steps provided below.

1
Log in to your Blogger website's admin panel, go to Settings (1)Permissions (2) and click Invite more authors (3):
2
Within the Email to Invite (1) field, add the [email protected] email address and click Send (2):
Due to Blogger CMS' peculiarities, once access is accepted, you'll also need to authorize us as the full-access admin of your website. Please make sure to read this article all the way to the end to learn how you can do that.
3
To authorize us as the full-access admin of your website, go to Settings (1)Permissions (2) and click Blog admins and authors (3): Following that, change the role from Author to Admin and click Save: The user Elfsight with the [email protected] email has been added.

Removing access

When you no longer need help from us, you're free to revoke access. You can do that following these easy steps:

To remove access permissions, open Settings (1)Permissions (2) and click Blog admins and authors (3):

Then, click on X to delete the member and Save the changes:

Done! The access has been revoked.

Is it safe to provide Elfsight with access?

We request access to a website's backend to work with our widgets only. Our team of highly skilled developers will make sure to successfully install the widget for you. Rest assured that we're not going to work with any other elements on your website.
