Why my Google Reviews widget doesn't update

If your newest Google reviews are not showing in the widget, don’t worry — this is usually caused by caching. The Google Reviews widget uses a 72-hour cache, so new reviews may appear with a delay.

How does caching work?

Caching helps the widget load faster and reduces the server load. Here's what happens:

New Google review
A customer leaves a new review on Google.
Review check
The widget checks your Google source for new reviews every 72 hours.
🔄
Cache refresh
The widget stores retrieved reviews in the cache for faster loading.
👥
Reviews appear
Visitors see reviews from the cache until the next update.

Once the cache refreshes, new reviews will appear automatically in your widget.
