Providing access to your BigCommerce website

Elfsight Support Team may occasionally need temporary access to your BigCommerce website to install your widget or resolve functionality issues.

In this article, we'll provide you with a step-by-step guide on granting us access and removing it when it's no longer required.

Providing access

To give us access, you need to add a new temporary user. This is how you can do it.

Log in to your BigCommerce admin panel, go to Account SettingsUsers and click Create a User Account:

Within User Details and Permissions, fill in the following user information:

  • Email: [email protected]
  • User Role: Store Administrator
  • User Permissions: check Store Design and Design Mode in System Admin Permissions. Uncheck the rest of the options in the other sections

Click Save: The invitation has been sent. We will get a notification that we can now access your BigCommerce website.

Removing Elfsight user

When you no longer require our help, you're free to revoke access. You can do this following these easy steps:

Go to Account SettingsUsers:

Choose the Elfsight user, click on 🗑️ and confirm the deletion:

That's it. The user with the [email protected] email has been removed.
