Fixing missing submissions from Elfsight Contact Form

It can be frustrating when you don’t receive submissions from the Elfsight Contact Form widget. Follow these four simple steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Check the email address

Make sure you've entered the correct email address in the widget settings. Go to the widget editor, then navigate to the Email tab → Notify Me:

Check your Spam Folder

If the email address is correct, check your Spam folder to see if the submissions ended up there.

Ensure the Elfsight email is not blacklisted

Make sure the email [email protected] is not blacklisted. You can also whitelist it to prevent future issues. Follow the steps for Gmail or Outlook below:

Gmail

Go to SettingsSee all settingsFilters and Blocked Addresses.

  1. If you see [email protected] in the blocked email addresses list, click unblock next to it:

  2. Click Create a new filter:

    Enter [email protected] in the From field and click Create filter:

    Check Never send it to Spam, then click Create filter one more time:

    You're done!

Outlook

Go to SettingsEmailJunk email.

  1. If you find [email protected] under Blocked senders and domains, click the trash icon to remove it:

  2. In the Safe senders and domains tab, click Add safe sender and enter [email protected]:

    Then click Save:

    Done!

Try another email address

Try adding a different email address (such as a Gmail address) to the widget and check if submissions are received there. If you get submissions in Gmail but not in the original email address, the issue might be with the email provider’s spam filters or other restrictions. Contact their support team for help.

If you’re getting empty emails

Make sure your submission email template includes the correct mail-tags. To check, go to the Email tab → Notify Me:

Scroll down to the Message field and check if you’ve added the right mail-tags:
