Why my Houzz reviews are not being updated

The most general reason for missing reviews is the cache. Our Reviews widgets use 48-hours cache, so the new reviews may get displayed in your widget with a delay.

Why all Elfsight Reviews apps use cache

Our apps use cache due to technical reasons. Basic reasons are making the widget load faster and reducing the server load. Thus it doesn't receive data each time someone browses your widget. Instead, it makes a request once in every 48 hours, pulls in the reviews, stores them in the cache, and displays them from the cache. After the cache is expired, the widget sends a request for the reviews again, and that's when the new ones make it to your widget.

48 hours have passed and the reviews are still not showing up

If it has been 48 hours since a review was posted and it is still not displayed in your widget, there may be some local issues. Please contact our Support Team, we will be happy to help you.
