Why 'no messengers are connected' error comes up in Viber Chat?

After installing the widget on your website, you may notice the following error "No messengers are connected. Connect a messenger to enable chat button.":

Here are the basic reasons of this issue:

  • you didn't add your phone number to the widget
  • the phone number you added is not registered in Viber
  • you added the number incorrectly or without your country code
