How Blog Widget Works with Images

The Blog widget allows you to add images in two ways:

  • AI-Created Posts: When using the AI assistant to create a post, images are generated automatically. You can delete or replace them with your own if needed.
  • Manually Created Posts: When creating posts manually, you upload the images directly to the widget yourself.

Generally, images you add manually keep their original dimensions. For instance, if you upload a 65×65 px image, it will display exactly at that size:

However, the first image of your blog post the Featured image works differently: it stretches to fit the full width of the widget and up to 80% of the screen's height. If the image is too small, it may appear blurry when resized.

To keep things looking clear and sharp, we recommend using a large, high-quality picture for the featured blog image. Here's an example:

Supported Image Formats

The Blog widget supports several image formats to meet your needs. The following formats are suggested:

.jpeg .png .svg .gif .webp

Recommended Image Resolution and Dimensions

Here are some tips for selecting the best resolution and size for images you upload manually:

  • Optimal resolution: Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) works well for most uses.
  • Maximum resolution: Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) is great for higher image quality.
  • File size: We suggest keeping image file sizes under 1 MB for faster loading. Smaller files also improve the user experience on your site.

Alt Tags Support

The Blog widget supports Alt Tags, which improve accessibility and SEO by providing descriptive text for pictures. Here's how you can add Alt Tags to your images:

  1. In the widget editor, go to the Posts tab and select the post you want to edit.
  2. Hover over the image in the post and click Alt Text.
  3. Type your Alt Text for the image and click ✅.

That's it! For a detailed walkthrough, check out this screencast:

Please keep in mind that:

  • When a post is created using AI, Alt text is automatically added to all images, except the featured one, based on section titles.
  • For images you upload manually, Alt text won’t be assigned automatically, so you’ll need to add it yourself.

We hope these suggestions help you optimize your image uploads for the Blog widget! 🚀
