Managing Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor Authentication (2FA) is an important security feature that adds an extra layer of protection to your account. It requires two steps to log in: entering your password and a unique authentication code. In this article, we’ll guide you through enabling and disabling 2FA.

How to enable 2FA

Install and set up an authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator) on your mobile device.

Go to your dashboard → click on your profile picture in the top-right corner → select Account Settings from the dropdown:
Go to the Account & Security tab → click Enable next to the Two-Factor Authentication option:

Scan the QR code in your authenticator app if you're using Elfsight on desktop, or copy and paste the code if you're on mobile. Then click Continue:

Your authenticator app will generate a unique code. Enter it in the popup on Elfsight → click Complete:
All set! 🔐 Your account is now secured with Two-Factor Authentication:
Do not uninstall the authenticator app you used to set up 2FA, as you'll need it to sign in to your Elfsight account in the future. Going forward, you'll sign in by entering your password (or using a social login like Google or Facebook), followed by the 2FA authentication code: →
How to disable 2FA

Open your dashboard → click on your profile picture → select Account Settings from the dropdown:
Go to the Account & Security tab → click Disable next to the Two-Factor Authentication option:

Confirm by clicking Disable in the popup:
All done! Two-Factor Authentication has been successfully disabled.
