Language options in Elfsight widgets

If your website is multilingual, you might need to translate your Elfsight widget to match the different languages. This article explains how you can achieve that.

Currently, the only way to display your widget in different languages is by creating separate widgets for each version of your website. Unfortunately, our apps don’t yet support language switchers.

Switching languages within the widget

Some of our widgets allow users to select their preferred language within the settings when adding the widget to a language version of your site.

For example, the Instagram Feed widget supports 33 languages. To choose a language, go to the Settings tab, click the dropdown menu, and select your desired language:

The widget interface will then be translated to your chosen language:

Translating widget elements manually

Some widgets, like the Event Calendar, also offer a manual translation option in the Settings tab via the Edit Texts feature:

Here, you can customize text for any interface element:

This option is also available in our Reviews apps:

Simply type in your custom text, and the corresponding element of the interface will update:
